HandUp Congo collaborates with the North American Liaison Bureau and the  European Liaison Bureau on behalf of one of Africa’s most respected universities, Université Protestante au Congo. Director Lucy Hobgood-Brown serves as UPC's representative in  Australia. French speakers may access information on www.upc-rdc.cd.

Université Protestante au Congo has been a pioneer in Congolese higher education since 1959. It has remained independent, survived chaotic political regions, wars and civil strife, and produced highly qualified Congolese leadership and faculty members holding doctoral degrees from Europe and the United States.

HandUp Congo projects for UPC include the rebranding of the University and a redesign of its logo by a pro bono team of San Francisco Bay Area-based marketing professionals featuring Cherie Carter of Carter Designs and Lynn Fabian Lasner of Fabian Lasner Creative.
The team also developed mottos for the school that reflect its standing in Congo and in Africa.
